In addition, DORMA’s new Clamp & Glue technology allows for the installation of laminated safety glass (LSG) without the need for glass preparation. These features result in a time saving for installers of around 25% compared to previous sliding door systems.

Engineered for a range of applications, the MUTO is suitable for glass or timber door applications, with a capacity for panel widths of up to 2500mm and weights from 50kg to 150kg.
DORMA’s new Clamp & Glue technology offers a reliable solution for the application of laminated safety glass without any need for glass preparation. With the use of the LSG gasket set the roller carriers are glued to either side of the glass surface providing a safe lasting hold.
Flexibility and functionality are key benefits. The system is suitable for wall, glass or ceiling mounting, while a special interconnecting profile also allows for fitting to false or suspended ceilings.
In addition to the standard single panel and two panel systems MUTO is available with a Synchro option enabling the opposite door panel to open or close as the first one moves.
To enhance the portfolio, a manual Self-Closing sliding door system is also included in the range, whilst later this year, a Telescopic system configured for wide openings and small panels, will be introduced.
Once installed, MUTO systems are subtle in their application. Through the use of DORMA’s DORMOTION damping device, doors are gently decelerated when approaching open or closed positions. Further user-friendly options for MUTO are a wireless battery-operated electromagnetic lock and a door status indicator - capable of connecting to building management for premises requiring professional facility management.
For ease of installation and maintenance, the removable front cover also means that all parts can be reached from the front face to allow adjustments to be made to features such as the dampening function, while additional features can be retrofitted to upgrade the system at a later stage.
Archie Teagle, Product Marketing Manager at DORMA said:
“The introduction of the MUTO range highlights the development in sliding door systems. This latest product combines increased functionality with a simplified installation process, to offer our customers a stylish, contemporary solution tailored to their needs, delivered with minimal disruption.”
